Flowers for your soul! What a beautiful title this is. Especially these days. This is how a client of mine titled her review a couple of days ago about my “Flowers for you 2021” calendar.
It has been just under a month since I started this website together with my online shop and I am thrilled to hear such wonderful echos and responses about my calendars. The adjective which never tires of popping up is: beautiful! I think we all are in need for more beauty right now. There is such an overdose of worries and stress all around. Strange times for Christmas to come up.
What should be a joyful time of year is already looking, to say it mildly, to be different. My actual profession which is now needed more than ever is told to shut up! No Weihnachtsoratorium, no Christmas Carols concerts, no Hänsel and Gretel, no Nutcracker, no pantomimes… All dust! So where does one go to find hope? Where does one go to find warmth and beauty? Definitely not online!
One way for me to search for beauty is going out photographing macro flower pictures. I take them because I myself am looking for what is, in my eyes, beautiful in nature. How light falls on a leaf. How colors blend together. I am glad to be able to share these photos with you. It’s good to know that my calendars can bring you beauty, and help you, in a small way, in these times and be flowers for your soul too!
